How Does the MTS Work?

The MTS treatment delivers an innovative “Reset-Restore-Refresh” stimulation to the central and peripheral nervous system to firstly manage pain and thereafter utilises 6 scientifically proven technologies for a safe and therapeutic healing of the damaged tissues by stimulating cellular biology for a faster rehabilitation

How does MTS treat pain?

Pain remains in tissues even after the inflammation in damaged tissue has subsided. This is because the nervous memory of the original inflammation remains stored in the central nervous system at the time of the original tissue damage.

This biofeedback loop remembers the pain within the body which is called “learnt pain”, and includes directly the tissues affected, the nervous system conductive pathway to the brain and the emotional reaction to the trauma stored in the brain cortex. The MTS system removes these tissue signals, eliminates the nervous conductive blockages and positively affects the emotional reaction to the trauma thereby removing the learnt pain.

Other functions in the MTS system allow immediate treatment of injured areas from Day 1, reducing inflammation, pain and increasing range of movement. Treating not only the neurological nerve pathways but also the affected area we are able to reduce and eliminate pain from the very first treatment.

What does the MTS treatment feel like?

It is a painless procedure starting with feeling similar to a sensation of lightly stimulating the skin hair by light touch followed by a deeper vibrating sound during the active part of the treatment.

Is the technology that MTS uses the same as others?

MTS is a revolutionary system incorporating six different technologies in one portable system that treats on both the neuro and musculoskeletal level. A number of the technologies utilised are proprietary and use the lower energy, due to deeper penetration effect but with maximum effectiveness. Other functions in the MTS device are unique including “Reset” and Micro shockwave emission.

How long is a typical treatment session?

Initial consultation including treatment is 60 minutes, thereafter a typical session is 30 minutes.
